shungo asada (japan)

  1. Oh my! Are these morning glories? If not, it still made me happy because they remind me so much of morning glories! Mary K

    1. Yes, these are morning glories. Shungo carved the image into a rubber board (we call these "eraser stamps" in Japanese) and arranged them on the card. The leaves and the dragonflies also. The words are the traditional summer greeting "Hoping this finds you well in the heat of summer." These sorts of details are discussed on our Facebook group Etegami Fun Club, but I don't usually have time to explain each work on this blog.
