dunja branovacki

My first mailart from Serbia. This drawing stirs up nostalgic feelings, even though I've never seen poppy seed pods before in my life. Dunja says she drew it from her heart, and I can tell this is true. I love it dearly. Something will go in the mail to you soon, Dunja.

marianne attanasio

How lovely! Marianne drew this sumi-e style painting of a sparrow pecking at tomato seeds on a washi card that I sent to her from Japan.

katerina nikoltsou

What a delight to hear from Katerina again! This time she sent me two pieces of mailart. They are titled: "Tomatoes and Olives and Olives" and "End of Winter."

servane morel

This mailart from Servane comes with the unbeatable suggestion of serving fruit with chocolate, a subject that is very dear to my heart. Although it took me a moment to realize this, the rich chocolate-y stamps are REAL postage stamps. How awesome!! How very Belgium!!

Yes, Bill, this lovely tree painting certainly qualifies as etegami in my book. Thank you!

A booklet of six tanka poems arrived from a fellow IUOMA member in the UK. All eight segments of the booklet are printed on the same side of one sheet of paper. It folds up so that the image of the head is on the front page, with Lee's name and address on the back.

Pop-up mailart from Lorraine--for my Food/Recipe mailart call! The back has a recipe for Nanaimo Bars and when you open the card, an image of this Canadian dessert pops up in 3-D. P.r.e.t.t.y.C.o.o.l, huh?

Blueberries for my food/recipe mailart call. Plus a bonus of several peculiar news clippings. What a treat!

jennie hinchcliff

Jennie's envelope was full of bits and pieces of curiosities, but the main thing seemed to be a little booklet she put together that explores the spirit, issues, and background of mail art, with plenty of ideas on how to jump right into it.

beth l

Whimsical cupcakes for the food/recipe mailart call. Thanks, Beth!

nancy c

Hope represented by a bird, and a quote from Emily Dickinson. Thanks, Nancy!
