dunja branovacki

My first mailart from Serbia. This drawing stirs up nostalgic feelings, even though I've never seen poppy seed pods before in my life. Dunja says she drew it from her heart, and I can tell this is true. I love it dearly. Something will go in the mail to you soon, Dunja.

My first food-themed mailart from Cyprus is this drawing of grapes and a recipe for "Koupepia" (stuffed vine leaves). Thanks, Chloe!

marianne attanasio

How lovely! Marianne drew this sumi-e style painting of a sparrow pecking at tomato seeds on a washi card that I sent to her from Japan.

katerina nikoltsou

What a delight to hear from Katerina again! This time she sent me two pieces of mailart. They are titled: "Tomatoes and Olives and Olives" and "End of Winter."

servane morel

This mailart from Servane comes with the unbeatable suggestion of serving fruit with chocolate, a subject that is very dear to my heart. Although it took me a moment to realize this, the rich chocolate-y stamps are REAL postage stamps. How awesome!! How very Belgium!!

Oh, this food looks good! The picture of the retro kitchen reminds me a little of my childhood.

This is one card among many that were submitted to the Tomato Etegami Call, which is now being exhibited on my etegami blog. Come take a look!
