dr. brignone (italy)

Wooo, food on one side ( a flashback to my 2010 food-themed mailart call?), and a lino-print of a beautiful woman on the other-- a Dr.Brignone's specialty. And he does it so well. :p

A lovely lino cut from Dr Brignone, who thoughtfully printed it on the back of a picture of a pile of fish(?) for my food-themed mailart call.

I love the thoughtful pose and the wrinkled face of this gracefully-aged woman. Makes me wish I could know her in real life.

I do believe this is the first time I've received a print (lino?) from Dr.Brignone. Is he breaking away from collages? Whatever method he uses, his mailart always charms. The card seems to have been cut from a box that contained dried pasta. Comes with a recipe and everything!!

Oh, this food looks good! The picture of the retro kitchen reminds me a little of my childhood.

This collage of fruit and some familiar faces comes with a recipe for yummy-looking, disk-shaped polenta. Must try it as soon as I decode the Italian recipe! heh heh

Here's another clever double-themed card. The message side fits my previous mailart call on the theme of gift/giving, and the addressed side fits my new mailart call on the theme of Food. Cool, huh?

A Christmas card from Italy. I can practically taste the rich flavors of the stew on the card. I have a weakness for pictures of food. ;p

Autumn Harvest mailart in response to my autumn-themed mailart call. Love those grapes!

This beautiful card from Italy is a response to my Mail Art Call for Autumn-themed Etegami. The words are an old Piemontese proverb (a dialect of Italy): Bosch d' pùnta e fùmna d' piat a sustenu mes un stat, which means something like "Straight wood and lying women support half a country."

This beautiful card seems to call out "Italy!" to me, and that's exactly where it was sent from. Beautiful colors.
