Irene's decorated envelope came with a smaller envelope of patterned paper and artistamps, plus a postcard-sized watercolor of golden flowers painted in such a way that they literally sparkle, as though sunlight were reflecting off dewdrops. I wish it came across better in the scanned version.

Irene, who is known for her detailed and lusciously colored artwork, sent me this "minimalist" card in a salute to Etegami. The colorful artistamps on the addressed side are her creations too. (I'm afraid the card went though a bit of wear and tear on both sides by the time it reached me.)
